Where are meetings held?
Generally, we’ll meet in our office for face-to-face appointments. If you’d prefer something more convenient to your location, we can facilitate this with a virtual appointment on Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
Do you have parking?
The most convenient places to park near our offices are Tesco (DY8 1AE) or Church Street (DY8 1LY). Both car parks offer two hours free parking and are a very short walk to the office.
Do I have to pay for an initial meeting?
No, initial meetings are always at our expense.
How long should I allow for an initial meeting?
To gain a thorough understanding of your situation and for you to learn how we work, you should allow 60 – 90 minutes for an initial meeting.
Do I have to sign up to your services at an initial meeting?
No, the initial meeting is a discovery meeting for both you and us. We need to understand where we can help you, but you need to decide if we’re the right company for you too.

Are you independent?
We’re an appointed representative of The Openwork Partnership. Their job is to vet and specially select a range of product providers who have a robust proposition, financial stature, and service standard for us to best support our clients.
Are you regulated?
We’re an Appointed Representative of The Openwork Partnership who are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
Can you advise on final salary/defined benefit transfers?
Within the network of The Openwork Partnership, we can refer you to a specialist adviser within this area.
What happens if my financial planner is away on holiday?
You’ll be dealing with a well-organised company with many advisers. Should your adviser be on holiday and your needs cannot wait for their return, another adviser within the firm will step in and help in the short term.
Do you take a percentage or are your fees fixed?
We charge fixed fees for mortgage advice and a percentage for pension and investment advice.
Do you get commission?
We receive a commission from mortgage and insurance providers.
Do you charge VAT?
No, financial service products are exempt from VAT which is great news for you, the client.
